TMK Starts Supplying Pipes To Gazprom's Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok Gas Pipeline
Published: 07-Oct-2009
OAO TMK (TMK), a producer of oil and gas pipes, has started shipments of longitudinal welded large-diameter pipes to OAO Gazprom for the construction of the Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok gas pipeline. During September 2009, TMK shipped 8,000 tonnes of 1220mm K60 grade longitudinal welded pipe with wall thickness between 17.8 and 21.2mm and internal protective coating.
This pipe range is produced at Volzhsky’s large-diameter longitudinal welded pipe mill, which was commissioned in late 2008 as part of TMK’s strategic investment programme.
Before the year’s end, TMK expects to supply more than 70,000 tonnes of large-diameter longitudinal pipe for the construction of the Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok gas pipeline.
